Norwich is so well known for it's writers of great literary merit, but I will always include in the list of great Norwich scribes Richard Balls, a local chap who writes not only a regular column about Norwich City, but also brilliant books about Rock and Roll. One of the earliest events I did in the shop was for his Ian Dury biography - which was the basis for the Andy Serkis movie about the man, and now Rich has written this beautifully produced and thouroughly researched history of one of the most iconic indy record labels in the UK. He has access to good people does Mr Balls, and here he has put together something that no serious lover of UK music and it's history should be without. Come and hear him being interviewed about it and get a copy in whatever colour jacket of the 5 available you choose - mimicking the different colours of Stiff records. Pump it up! Yeah! What's so funny 'bout peace love and understanding? Come and find out! Yes!!!
