In conversation: Ruby Tandoh (part of the 'Eat Up!' book tour)

  • The Octagon Chapel Colegate Norwich, NR3 1BN United Kingdom (map)

Ruby Tandoh was a finalist on the 2013 series of 'Bake Off', and used that platform to springboard a career far more interesting and diverse than simply being an excellent baker. She has since written two cookbooks and is a columnist for various newspapers and magazines. But her focus has shifted from being purely culinary to speaking out about mental health, eating disorders, sexuality and gender politics - all the while exploring the relationship of all of these things to food.

In Eat Up! Ruby has written a manifesto to help you fall in love with food again, looking closely at the joy and pain it can bring us. She steers us away from fad diets and celebrates the happiness derived from eating what we want, when we want. It is a brilliant, insightful, inspiring book from a woman whose voice is synonymous with plain speaking good sense. An evening in her company is not to be missed...

Ruby will be in conversation with journalist Wedaeli Chibelushi.

This will be a 'Pay What You Can' event (we'll be taking donations on the night). It also marks the first Book Hive event at the stunning Octagon Chapel in central Norwich. Please contact the shop or pop in to reserve your place for this event.

Join us at 6:00pm for a 6:30pm start...

ACCESSIBILITY INFO: The Octagon Chapel has full disabled access, and one disabled parking spot. There are also nearby disabled parking spots on Colegate (the road where the chapel is) and in the Golden Dog Lane Car Park.
