Weekly detox reading!
We know that a lot of people would love to read more to relax. But it can be a struggle to find the time or space to do so. The demands and distractions of daily life can get in the way. Or we simply can’t muster the energy just to… start.
So: we’re inviting you to join us for some quiet reading, after work, every Wednesday.
We’ll simply read, together, for an hour. It’s BYOB (bring your own book). This will be a protected moment, with gentle music and a glass of wine or mug of tea.
Think of it just like scheduling a session at the gym, or committing to meditation or yoga — but for reading.
There’ll be a bit of an introduction and hellos while we settle — but then it’ll just be an hour of silent reading.
Considering the pace of modern life and the anxiety-inducing news we’re all experiencing on a day-to-day basis, taking a quiet moment to stop, slow down, and focus on one thing isn’t just good for wellbeing — it’s actually quite a rebellious act. Join us in the reading revolution!
